Inclusivity Statement
United Way Ozarks Region values the visible and invisible qualities that make you who you are. We recognize those qualities that make us different. We also recognize the quality we all share: Our humanity. We unequivocally denounce discrimination of any kind because it undermines the well-being and vitality of our community. We believe that each United Way community member, donor, volunteer, advocate and employee must have equal access to solving community problems.
United Way Ozarks Region embraces belonging and inclusion, not only with our words, but with our actions. We are committed to creating equitable and inclusive opportunities and reducing the racial, social and economic disparities that exist in our community. We will do this by identifying and eliminating barriers that have prevented historically marginalized groups from fully participating in society. We will leverage our assets (convening, strategic investments, awareness building, advocacy) to create a more equitable and inclusive community.
United Way Ozarks Region strives to be a model of inclusivity in all aspects of our work. We will employ and promote individuals, recruit volunteers and partner with programs that inclusively support the diversity of our local community. UWO will not discriminate on the basis of race, skin color, ethnicity, biological sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, age, ability status, marital and family status or veteran status. As per our Partner Agreement, United Way of the Ozarks reserves the right to revoke funding if a partner nonprofit is found guilty of discrimination.
Join us in embracing belonging and inclusion for every person living in the Ozarks. #UnitedIstheWay!
