Liz Thrasher

Director of Development

Liz Thrasher

As Director of Development, Liz strategizes, creates, and implements year-round engagement plans that generate the revenue necessary to power our mission and support our nonprofit partners. Through strategic engagement and strong community relationships, she translates community needs into opportunities to make a difference.

Prior to her role at United Way, Liz was the Community Development Coordinator at GYN Cancers Alliance. She understands the critical role that nonprofits of all sizes play in our community and has a passion for driving support for those among us who need it the most.

Liz earned an Associate of Arts degree with a focus in Communications from OTC and is working on her Bachelor’s in Communications at MSU. She holds a certificate from Drew Lewis Foundation’s Nonprofit Career Academy and was elected to Christian County’s 40 Under 40 class of 2023.

In her free time, you can find Liz nose-deep in a good book, rockhounding, photographing nature, and out enjoying life with her family and friends. She and her husband, along with their two kids, two dogs, and two cats (aka: her busy little circus), call the Nixa community their home.
