Volunteer

Volunteering with United Way Ozarks Region is a powerful way to put your skills and passion into action. Whether you’re joining thousands on Day of Caring, matching with meaningful roles through Give 5, or exploring opportunities via Volunteer Ozarks, your time makes a real difference. Let’s work together to strengthen our communities—one helping hand at a time.

Day of Caring

Day of Caring is the largest, single-day volunteer event in Southwest Missouri. Each year, thousands of individuals across the Ozarks come together to help local non-profit agencies. Any 501(c)(3) organization in our 14-county service area may host a project.

Give 5

Give 5 is United Way Ozarks Region’s five-week civic-matchmaking program that connects Greene County residents aged 60 and up with meaningful volunteer opportunities tailored to their skills and passions. Participants dive into the community’s most pressing challenges—education, health care, poverty relief and more—and bring a strong work ethic and decades of problem-solving experience to make a real difference.

Community Investment Committee

Help direct funding to those who need it most! This committee is comprised of donor-volunteers from our 14-county service area. Committee members evaluate program applications from area nonprofits and help allocate grant funds based on priority goals outlined by our Board of Directors.

Volunteer Ozarks

Volunteer Ozarks—our partnership with KY3—connects you to meaningful service opportunities across all 14 counties and beyond. Whether you have an afternoon, a weekend or want a long-term commitment, simply enter your ZIP code to find local nonprofits and help achieve incredible outcomes.
