Day of Caring is a Southwest Missouri tradition, connecting nonprofits and volunteers for a day of high-impact fun across the Ozarks. Every year, this treasured event means thousands of human-hours are logged in a single day, resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of work benefitting local nonprofits.

In 2025, a record number of volunteers participated! More than 1400 people contributed time worth over $220,000 while helping 52 nonprofit organizations! Check out the video below to see some of the work done in our community.

Whether you participate as a volunteer from your workplace, social group, or civic organization, or host a project at an area nonprofit, Day of Caring is a fun and direct way to create positive change in the Ozarks.
