United Way of the Ozarks board of directors has announced the selection of the organization’s newest director, Dr. Jeff Frederick, president of Drury University. Frederick’s appointment is effective July 1, 2024, and his term runs through March 31, 2027.
Frederick looks forward to joining the Springfield-based nonprofit, which focuses on connecting and mobilizing Southwest Missouri so all can thrive. “United Way of the Ozarks embodies the spirit of working together to make our communities better and serve our people,” Frederick said. “I’m thrilled to join the board and, more importantly, to join the work of providing pathways out of poverty and championing children. Together, we can achieve more.”
Brandi VanAntwerp, president-elect at United Way of the Ozarks (UWO), is excited to welcome Frederick to the community and the organization. “Dr. Frederick’s enthusiasm and experience helping local people build brighter futures will add momentum to our current and future work,” she stated. Greg Burris, outgoing UWO president/CEO, reiterated, “We truly appreciate Dr. Frederick’s commitment to community ownership, collaboration and connection.”
The board of directors is composed of volunteers who have stepped forward to share their expertise, passion and generosity to advance United Way of the Ozarks as we connect people, resources and ideas to enhance lives across our community.
